Hi,

First: sorry that I need to write this post in English, but I can't speak Danish.

The Problem:

I tried to remove the fuel filter of a Defender TD5, but I'm not able to remove it just with my hands.

So I've checked in the internet if there are any tools for removing a fuel filter and I've found this one https://www.amazon.de/Öllfilterschlüssel-MAHLE-KNECHT-OCS-1/dp/B0067JORY8

Is there any shop next to Brande (Midtjylland) where I can buy this tool or do you know anyone who can borrow me this tool for removing the filter?

Hope you can help me. Want to change the filter before I'm leaving Denmark (22nd of December).

Br and a great Sunday,

Sebastian

Give them my compliments.

In my youth I was a trainee to become a tractor-mechanic. As the youngest trainee i had to do the oil-changes. I learned that the easiest way to remove a spin on oil-filter was to hammer a large screwdriver through it. ;) That way it was no problem to turn the filter. How access is on a TD5 i don't now, but remember not to punch the screwdriver through anything but the filter. ;)

Good luck

Niels

NOT on the fuelfilter, there is a risk for contamination in the fuelsystem.

It's ok on the oilfilter.

Sorry!! Must need new reading glasses. I read Oil-filter. Not fuel-filter. My mistake. Sorry.

Wow - I'm positive impressed. :)

Thank you for all your replies!

I've also posted this topic in your FB groupe.
Jørgen already helped me to remove the filter. :)

Wishing you all nice Christmas party's and a good start in 2017,

Br,

Sebastian

BTW: I also had the idea with the screwdriver but luckily I haven't one here in DK ????

Fine you're on the road again...

Add to your Christmas wish list an oil filter spanner part no DA1117 and an oil filter socket part no DA1176 both from BritPart.

Take Care.
